The IELTS Masterclass is a free 2-hour webinar run by an IELTS Expert. They will guide you through the 4 parts of the IELTS test, giving you tips and advice on how to understand questions and how to answer them on a test day. Take a closer look at the assessment criteria, band scores and what English-language skills IELTS examiners look for in your written and spoken responses. Learn about the common mistakes you should avoid and take a closer look at some sample questions and answers. You will have a chance to ask questions and have them answered by IELTS Experts.
The Masterclass is available online as a webinar or as a face-to-face seminar. You will receive a helpful booklet with tips and advice on each part of the test as well as samples of Writing responses with examiner band scores and comments on performance.
The Masterclass covers the IELTS Academic and General Training tests.
Read the assessment criteria used for both Academic and General Training Writing tests carefully before your test day. The examiner will assess your writing based on four criteria for Task 1 and Task 2.

IELTS uses a 9-band scoring system to measure and report test scores in a consistent manner. You receive individual band scores for Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking and an Overall Band Score on a band scale from one to nine.
The Speaking and Writing tests are marked by certificated IELTS examiners using the IELTS Speaking and Writing assessment criteria. Mobile phones, pagers and smart watches must be switched off and left with your personal belongings.
If you keep mobile phones or electronic devices with you, you will be disqualified.
Thousands of educational institutions, employers and professional registration bodies accept IELTS because it is a high quality and fair test. This is why IELTS is also accepted by more governments for migration purposes than any other test. The institution/organisation to which you are applying will determine the level of English you need.
